WE ARE SPENCER’S OWN
Spencer’s Own with their next generation approach to harmony and multi-influenced modern country sound just may be one of the most exciting groups to appear on the country music scene in years. The group comprised of five brothers, deliver a rare one of a kind family harmony, mixed with an edgy vocal sound that is sure to inspire a whole new generation of music fans.
The quintet began their musical journey growing up in a small farm town in Twin Falls, Idaho. Just like most small towns they were raised with the core values that family and friends are essential to life. They echoed these messages as a band of brothers playing anywhere from schools to festivals just for a chance to share their music.
Today with sold out crowds, packed events and a loyal fan base online, they challenge many of the accepted rules of country music by crossing the lines of genre stigmas delivering a new approach to an all-vocal band. The group has quickly gained praise for their pure modern approach, steering away from trends, but most importantly cutting a pathway with their own sound.
Together each member of the band brings their very own unique set of skills and style to the group. Combined with a stellar blend of multi-lead and harmony vocals mixed with the rock inspired high tenor voice of Jordon; low bass of Nic with his amazing cutting-edge beats; soulful voice and blazing infectious harmonica of Morgan; smooth warm tenor of Quinn; and the edgy pop influenced baritone lead of Nathan serves as the foundation of this next generation country sound. Critics have praised them as a real game changer for country music scene sighting – it’s like having five all-star country artists in one group.
The evolution of Spencer’s Own began as the group broke ranks leaving behind the spotlight of local stardom and moved to Nashville to pursue the next chapter of their career. A brave move for five brothers who refused to be molded by popular music trends, but a necessary one for this modern country ensemble as they began to tap into the heart of who they were as artists. While performing original songs with messages of everyday life experiences, love, friendship, heartache, hope, and pain they quickly found their audience.
The band of brothers is set to release their first EP Inside Out in early 2015. “We feel like that we have been writing our life story, experiences, and most important pouring our heart and soul into our songs for this new album,” says Nate Williams of the group. “We are looking forward to sharing this new music with everyone.”
